✨VACCINES AND VACCINATION.✨
🍒 HEALTH NUGGETS🍒
What is a vaccine?
:-According to Merriam-Webster dictionary; a vaccine is a preparation or an immunotherapy that is used to stimulate the body's immune response against noninfectious substances, agents, or diseases.
••In addition, it can also be described as: a preparation of genetic material (such as a strand of synthesized messenger RNA) that is used by the cells of the body to produce an antigenic substance (such as a fragment of virus spike protein)
… Moderna's coronavirus vaccine … works by injecting a small piece of mRNA from the coronavirus that codes for the virus' spike protein. … mRNA vaccine spurs the body to produce the spike protein internally. That, in turn, triggers an immune response. —Susie Neilson et al.<>
✨VACCINATION
▪️This refers to the use of vaccines to stimulate your immune system to protect you against infection or diseases. This generally makes you immune or resistant to an infection.
▪️It deliberately entails introducing an antigen into the body that can provoke an immune response & the production of memory cells.
⭐The first injection elicits a primary immune response. A second injection (the "booster shot") elicits a secondary response, which provokes the production of even more antibodies and memory cells to provide long-lasting protection against the disease.
▪️Once attacked with disease, the memory cells will always remember the previous encounter and come to your rescue to fight disease.
▪️So, if you can really really do a good job in boosting your immunity, then you can save yourself from being injected with an antigen that's supposed to trigger an immune response. It all starts with us🤗
